Parents’ questions

The things everyone asks on their first visit.

How many days do we need to book?

At least two sessions a week, so your child gets to know their room and their key person. Most families book two or three full days.

Do you take funded hours?

Yes, for every eligible child. Give us your code each term and we’ll take the funded hours off your bill. Ask us if you’re not sure what you can get.

What happens if my child is ill?

Please keep them at home for 48 hours after sickness or diarrhoea. If they’re poorly at nursery, we’ll ring you and keep them comfortable until you arrive.

How will I know how their day went?

You’ll get updates and photos on our parent app through the day, and the key person will talk you through it at pick-up.

Can you manage allergies?

Yes. Our cook works from a care plan for each child, and allergy meals are served on a coloured plate so everyone knows at a glance.

Do you help with potty training?

When your child is ready, yes. We’ll agree a plan with you and follow the same words and routine you use at home.

Do you close for bank holidays?

We’re closed on bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year. You don’t pay for the Christmas closure.

How much notice do we give to leave?

One calendar month, in writing, or by email to the office. The same goes for changing or dropping days.

Come and see us

The best way to choose a nursery is to visit one.

Look round with your little one, meet the room leaders and ask anything you like. Visits take about 45 minutes, any weekday.
